確認できたこと。クラーク郡は7月30日の公式発表で、7月1日の法改正が「local governments new tools ... expanding school crosswalk signal schedules」——自治体に横断信号のスケジュールを広げる手段を与えた、と説明しています。同じ発表で、前年度に学齢児童が関わる事故が400件を超えたこと、横断監視員の採用イベントに302人が参加して210人が内定を受諾したこと、ラスベガス・グランプリから交通安全教育に10万ドルが拠出されることを挙げています。
もうひとつ。KTNVは5月19日に、クラーク郡のスクールゾーンの点滅灯が、学校のない夏のあいだも点いたままになると報じました。School Traffic Safety Working Groupの判断で、CCSD警察のBryan Zink警部補は「夏のプログラムが以前より増えているので、郡としては点けておきたい」と説明しています。
編集メモ:この記事は、ネバダ州2025年第36回特別会期のAssembly Bill 6(CHAPTER 10)の本文を、州議会サイトに掲載されている Statutes of Nevada から本誌が直接読んで書いています。「罰金が必ず2倍になる」とは書いていません。条文が罰金・刑罰について「may be punished」、デメリットポイントについて「shall assess」と書き分けているためです。追加分の上限(民事$250/刑事$1,000・拘禁6か月・コミュニティサービス120時間)も条文の記載です。ポイントの倍加後の数値は、DMVが公表している通常の点数を本誌が2倍して算出したものです。DMVが個別の事案でどう処理するかを確認したものではありません。対象となる違反は、条文が名指ししたNRS条項と速度制限違反です。一部の解説にある「careless drivingも対象」という記述は、AB6の本文に「careless」の語が1件も出現しないため採用していません。ただしDMVの点数表には「Careless Driving 6 Points」という項目があり、市や郡の条例で別に定められている可能性は残ります。点滅灯の稼働時間について「制度上できる」ことと「ラスベガス地域で既に変わった」ことは分けて書きました。個々の学校の2026-27年度の運用時間は確認できていません。前年度の事故件数「400件超」はクラーク郡の公式発表の表現によるもので、スクールゾーン内に限った件数ではありません。ヘッダー写真は未撮影です。
